Sofia works as Counsel in the Arbitration Department of the law firm Stratulat Albulescu SPARL. She has over 15 years of experience in national and international arbitration, with extensive experience in construction arbitration and ICC and ICSID arbitration. Sofia Cozac is an arbitrator with the Court of International Commercial Arbitration attached to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, as well as President of the Dolj Arbitration Court.

Sofia Cozac is an arbitrator with the European Commission, for the settlement of trade disputes between the European Union and third countries, and pleads as a lawyer in international arbitrations.

She regularly advises and assists clients on matters relating to investment disputes (ICSID arbitration) construction disputes, in particular FIDIC contracts, post-privatisation disputes, energy and oil & gas disputes as well as administrative disputes.

Sofia has a close connection with the academic life, being a PhD student in the field of commercial arbitration and also a trainer in the international arbitration competition Willem C. Vis Moot.

Sofia is fluent in both English and German and has been consistently involved in international teams of lawyers and experts in the projects she has worked on.
